Being here and now

Assise en position du lotus, les yeux fermés, je médite et j’observe ma respiration. Mon inspiration et ma longue expiration. Inspiration, expiration… Je me recentre sur elle seule, pleinement consciente de ce moment présent. Uniquement. J’entends les bruits sans les écouter. De la bougie qui brûle tout près de moi, je perçois tout juste les délicats effluves de la fraîche orchidée et de la pêche. Je suis bien. J’inspire puis j’expire lentement entre mes lèvres. Je laisse passer mes pensées  comme des nuages au-dessus de ma tête, et je me recentre sur mon souffle qui gonfle ma poitrine puis s’échappe doucement du bout de ma bouche.

Et l’odeur du musc qui me purifie… Je suis ici et maintenant.

Each of our HAROLD & MAUDE candles is made from natural 100% waxes. No mineral wax, so no paraffin derived from petroleum. The fragrances we use are all guaranteed free of CMR substances and phthalates.

When you use it for the first time, after cutting the wick (about 5 mm), let the candle burn until the entire surface has become liquid! Because of the size of the candle, this may take around 4 hours (allow for this). This step will prevent the wax from hollowing out and forming a permanent crater around the wick.

It may happen that the wax does not melt completely around one edge of your candle (our candles are poured and the wicks placed one by one, by hand, and are therefore never centred to the millimetre). In this case, just before extinguishing the candle, gently use the tip of a knife to lift and slide this little crescent of soft wax into the liquid wax.

CONSEILS D’UTILISATION 

Utiliser votre bougie en céramique avec délicatesse !  Après la cuisson, chacun des pots en céramique a reçu une couche de finition mate, non émaillée.  Ce beau rendu velouté peut-être sensible aux petites éraflures  lors d’une mauvaise manipulation. 

For rooms larger than 40m2, we recommend you burn 2 candles of the same fragrance, well apart from each other, for better fragrance diffusion.

Before each lighting, cut the wick so that it does not exceed 5 millimetres. Use a special candle wick cutter to avoid scratching the ceramic. 

Use a snuffer to extinguish it, to avoid black smoke and the wick drowning. If necessary, gently re-centre the wick with the side of your wick cutter or the tip of a knife while the wax is still soft.

Place your HAROLD & MAUDE candle on a flat surface and do not leave it unattended. Avoid draughts.
