De cuir et de bois

Je suis concentrée devant mon orgue à parfum, les fioles défilent sous mes mains. Après des mois de doutes et de modifications, cette composition pour homme trouve enfin son équilibre. D’abord la mandarine, vive et pétillante, rapidement suivie par des notes de cuir, sèches et sensuelles, qui m’évoquent l’odeur d’un blouson ancien. La fève de tonka, douce et poudrée, s’accorde merveilleusement aux accents boisés du cèdre.
Satisfaite, j’esquisse un sourire. Je ferme les yeux et ces effluves me transportent à présent. J’imagine cet homme brut et tendre à la fois qui le portera un jour peut-être…

Each of our HAROLD & MAUDE candles is made from natural 100% waxes. No mineral wax, so no paraffin derived from petroleum. The fragrances we use are all guaranteed free of CMR substances and phthalates.

Lors de sa première utilisation et après avoir coupé la mèche (5 mm environ,) laissez brûler la bougie jusqu’à ce que la totalité de la surface soit devenue liquide! La taille de la bougie étant importante, cela peut nécessiter environ 4 heures de combustion, (prévoyez-le).  Cette étape évitera que la cire ne se creuse et forme définitivement un cratère autour de la mèche.

It may happen that the wax does not melt completely around one edge of your candle (our candles are poured and the wicks placed one by one, by hand, and are therefore never centred to the millimetre). In this case, just before extinguishing the candle, gently use the tip of a knife to lift and slide this little crescent of soft wax into the liquid wax.

Utilisez votre bougie HAROLD & MAUDE avec délicatesse !  Après la cuisson, chacun des pots en céramique a reçu une couche de finition mate, non émaillée.  Ce beau rendu velouté peut-être sensible aux petites éraflures  lors d’une mauvaise manipulation. 

For rooms larger than 40m2, we recommend you burn 2 candles of the same fragrance, well apart from each other, for better fragrance diffusion.

Before each lighting, cut the wick so that it does not exceed 5 millimetres. Use a special candle wick cutter to avoid scratching the ceramic. 

Use a snuffer to extinguish it, to avoid black smoke and the wick drowning. If necessary, gently re-centre the wick with the side of your wick cutter or the tip of a knife while the wax is still soft.

Place your HAROLD & MAUDE candle on a flat surface and do not leave it unattended. Avoid draughts.
