SOUVENIRS DES MARQUISES

Souvenir des Marquises est une bougie parfumée en édition limitée, inspirée de la douceur enivrante des îles polynésiennes. Une création solaire et florale, où la fleur de tiaré s’enlacent aux notes gourmandes de monoï et de vanille,

« Je garde le souvenir émerveillé de ces îles paradisiaques dont les parfums embaumaient nos douces promenades. Parfois, de retour à la Villa Enata, notre hôte Avera m’apprenait à confectionner ces magnifiques colliers de  fleurs blanches aux parfums enivrants. Cela pouvait durer des heures ! Comme une petite fille fabrique un collier de perle, j’attachais délicatement, une à une, les fleurs de l’élégant gardénia, puis les étoiles de jasmin si fraiches et sensuelles ! Nous y associons enfin les petites fleurs de tiaré qui s’embrasaient de leurs senteurs épicées et miellées, avec le gourmand monoï aux effluves  de noix de coco et de vanille…

TIARE FLOWER - MONOI - VANILLA

Each of our HAROLD & MAUDE candles is made from natural 100% waxes. No mineral wax, so no paraffin derived from petroleum. The fragrances we use are all guaranteed free of CMR substances and phthalates.

When you use it for the first time, after cutting the wick (about 5 mm), let the candle burn until the entire surface has become liquid! Because of the size of the candle, this may take around 4 hours (allow for this). This step will prevent the wax from hollowing out and forming a permanent crater around the wick.

It may happen that the wax does not melt completely around one edge of your candle (our candles are poured and the wicks placed one by one, by hand, and are therefore never centred to the millimetre). In this case, just before extinguishing the candle, gently use the tip of a knife to lift and slide this little crescent of soft wax into the liquid wax.

Use your ceramic candle with care! After firing, each ceramic pot receives a matt, unglazed finish. This beautiful velvety finish can be susceptible to small scratches if handled incorrectly. 

For rooms larger than 40m2, we recommend you burn 2 candles of the same fragrance, well apart from each other, for better fragrance diffusion.

Before each lighting, cut the wick so that it does not exceed 5 millimetres. Use a special candle wick cutter to avoid scratching the ceramic. 

Use a snuffer to extinguish it, to avoid black smoke and the wick drowning. If necessary, gently re-centre the wick with the side of your wick cutter or the tip of a knife while the wax is still soft.

Place your HAROLD & MAUDE candle on a flat surface and do not leave it unattended. Avoid draughts.
